‘The Cat’, is a stop motion horror film of which I designed an official movie poster for. This short stop motion horror flick comes from RPVR Skunkwerks. Multiple series and additions have been made to this poster, but all with small changes. These variations were needed for the poster to be sent to festivals such as CIFF and Nightmare’s. The Confessions of Martin Corona was originally called, ‘The Confessions of a Cartel Hitman’. I wanted to make this less apparent by changing the title, but still showing the danger of the cartel, through the title sequence. The job of the title sequence sets up the tone for the whole movie. These clips are gathered from a variety of sources, none of which I own.

Greeting cards are normally targeted to a set event, such as a birthday, anniversary, holiday, etc. I took an extraterrestrial approach with this and summed all events into the category, humans greetings. This process included using an over 100 year old letterpress, as well as some modern techniques. I used 3D printing to custom print my alien, and then print it through the letterpress. I also used the process of laser cutting acrylic to create a UFO design, to then lightly emboss on the inside of the card.

The technique of suicide printing is called that because once you put filler on the screen, there is no going back. The next layer is not designed or burned like a traditional screen. The next layer consist of what parts of the previous layer were not covered up with screen filler. The result is more organic printing, and is great for capturing value without burning multiple different screens. The subject of these prints were going to be my favorite food, pomegranates. The juice patina was used as an additional ink and added to the sensor reality of this piece.
